Baked pork chops w gravy and an apple pie

Last night for dinner I tried this recipe from the Campbell's Kitchen for Baked Pork Chops. It was yummy.

Then, for dessert I made this yummy streusel apple cranberry pie. (It's an old Pampered Chef recipe).

Streusel Apple Cranberry Pie

Topping:
1/4 cup flour
1/4 brown sugar
3 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Filling:
1/2 pkg (1 crust) refrigerated pie crust
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup dried cranberries
2 tsp orange zest
7-8 Jonathan apples

1. Preheat oven to 350*. Mix together sreusel topping ingredients until crumbly. Set aside.
2. Let pie crust sit at room temp for 15 minutes.  Combine sugar, flour and spices in bowl.  Add cranberries and zest; mix well. Set aside.
3. Core and slice apples Toss in sugar mixture and set aside.
4. Line a deep dish pie plate with crust.  Spoon apple mixture into crust.  Sprinkle evenly with topping.
5. Bake 50-55 minutes or until apples are tender and golden brown.

  1. oooh that sounds yummy. We have been buying tons of apples lately, but we eat them before I can make anything tasty like this!
