New layouts

Lily took a nap today (which is quite unusual), so I was able to get all of these layouts done!

My Garden

This is a view of my entire garden. It's on the side of my house.

Here are the zucchini plants that have taken over! Guess they don't like to share their space?!?!

Here are a bunch of plum tomatoes:

This is the darn canteloupe that has escaped from the confines and is creeping out along rocks now! (Oh, and that's my big, fat, pregnant shadow too!)

Willy Wonka

Last weekend, Jack and I took the kids to the Shakespeare Theater at Navy Pier to see the musical Willy Wonka. It was really cute! The kids love the old movie with Gene Wilder and the new one with Johnny Depp, so of course, we knew they'd love this too!

We walked around a little outside the pier before heading in to the see the play. We stopped to take a few outdoor pics!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame...

Let's Go White Sox!!!
We had a great time watching the Sox whip the Texas Rangers with a 10-2 win! We even saw the fireworks for a homer and a Grand Slam!
The kids weren't as cooperative as I would have liked (as usual)...but they made it until the 7th evening stretch!
I gave the kids free reign of the camera and here is what they took...

Pool Pics (Again!)

Here are some of our latest pool pics. The kids had fun playing Willy Wonka in the pool. The pool rings were the "golden tickets." The kid who could dive and return the most rings got to take the tour of Willy's chocolate factory!

The floaties actually prevented Lily from going down any further to retrieve the rings, so we had to let some float for her!

Cute new pics

Played around with different settings on my Digi-SLR yesterday and took these pics of my little cutie. Isn't she sweet when her devil horns are hidden? She's so pretty!

I need to do a layout with the title, "Inconclusive." I went for my ultrasound today and the baby was healthy and perfect for it's size! We got some cute pics of the baby sucking it's thumb! The disappointing part was that the tech couldn't be certain if it was a boy or a girl. She said that it looked like labia, but could very well be testicles that had not yet descended! Oh well! Guess we'll just have to wait and see!!!!

So, to work off some of my frustration, I created the following two layouts today:

Sprinkler Fun!!!

The kids had a blast in the sprinkler today, and I had a blast playing around with the zoom lens on my camera!!

Here I was trying to mimic the really cool pic I saw in the latest issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine. The first couple pics I took were wasted because I couldn't tell that the camera was on manual focus, because it was so sunny outside. So, the best shots got trashed. When I finally switched it to auto focus, they were tired of holding hands and running towards me, but these are still cute anyway! LOL!

Look at Lily...striking a pose!!

Yes, I know you can see his skeleton! UGH! He eats everything in site!! LOL!!

Every year we go blueberry picking in Indiana. This year we went just a little too early. It was a cool day (thus the sweatshirts) and only a few patches of the 35 acres were ripe enough to pick! Even so, we picked 8 lbs and froze them for: pancakes, cakes, muffins, pies, etc etc etc...

Fun with the fam

Jackie and Kenny, Steff, Mom, Dad, Grandpa F, Alice and Sean came over to celebrate Jack's birthday this weekend! It was a busy weekend! This was one of many barbecue's and celebrations to be had!
Lily enjoyed standing next to the Lily plant that I was given when she was born. It has gotten so big over the course of the 4 years I've had it!
